Greetings from the Co-Curricular Life staff! Since its founding, Sweet Briar students have been actively engaged in creating their lives and experiences. This spirit is very much alive and well, both through traditions at the College and the initiatives and ideas that current students, faculty and staff bring to the community. The result is a vibrant, eclectic range of options that reflects the diversity of interests and perspectives. Students are encouraged to seek opportunities for membership and leadership in the wide range of student and campus organizations, in athletics, the arts, and through service learning opportunities on campus and in the community outside of the College. If a student wants to create a new program or organization, there are resources available to support and encourage them. Some of these activities quickly become “traditions”. The Co-Curricular Life staff works closely and collaboratively with the Dean of the College and faculty, as well as with other College offices, to facilitate an innovative—and fun—student life experience.
